Julie Huang

Julie Huang serves as Executive Director of Cell Biology and Lecturer on Cell Biology at Harvard Medical School. She holds a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Harvard University, where her doctoral research focused on ribosomal DNA gene silencing in budding yeast. Following postdoctoral research at Massachusetts General Hospital studying LIS1 regulation of dynein, she returned to Harvard Medical School.

Her current research bridges molecular mechanisms of cellular components like the RENT complex and dynein motor proteins, with particular interest in gene silencing and motor protein function.

Her publications reflect expertise in chromatin immunoprecipitation techniques and molecular motor regulation. As Executive Director, she oversees faculty affairs, trainee education, space management, and serves as liaison between research communities and administration.
