Dr. Julie Goodwin is an Associate Professor in Pediatrics (Nephrology) at Yale School of Medicine, serving as Section Chief of Pediatric Nephrology and Fellowship Program Director. She holds dual appointments in the Department of Pediatrics and Cellular & Molecular Physiology. Her clinical expertise spans pediatric nephrology, including hypertension, chronic kidney disease, and post-transplant care.
Education: MD from Boston University School of Medicine (2001), residency at Georgetown University Hospital (2002-2004), and fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine (2007).
Research focuses on glucocorticoid signaling in endothelial cells, cardiovascular-renal interactions, and fibrosis. Key interests include the role of the glucocorticoid receptor in atherosclerosis, diabetic kidney disease, and sepsis.
