Dr. Julie Barrau is Associate Professor in Medieval British History at the University of Cambridge and Official Fellow/Director of Studies at Emmanuel College. Her research centers on 12th-century England, examining biblical interpretation in political contexts and religious networks.
Scholarship includes studies of Thomas Becket's circle, ecclesiastical administration, and cross-Channel cultural exchange. Current work investigates biblical literacy among medieval administrators and the political uses of scripture.
