Julie Alexander

Julie Alexander is an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business, specializing in the Professional Effectiveness Division. She collaborates with professionals and educators to develop agile business communicators, emphasizing professional development, personal growth, and global citizenship for students.

Her research focuses on international organizational psychology, media representation, and social dynamics through parasocial relationships and gender theory. She integrates feminist perspectives to analyze how media shapes individual behavior and cultural norms. A strong advocate for global education, Alexander leverages her international business experience and travels to the United Kingdom, China, Thailand, Italy, Colombia, and France to enrich students’ understanding of cross-cultural issues. She aims to explore all seven continents to further study global business practices and cultural diversity.
