Julianne Vernon

Julianne Vernon serves as Associate Dean for Academic Success and Associate Professor of the Practice of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Vanderbilt University's School of Engineering. Her work focuses on STEM educational research, particularly student retention and innovative pedagogy. She leads the NSF INCLUDES grant SCI-STEPS, aiming to increase underrepresented groups' retention in physical sciences and engineering. Vernon also drives international initiatives, including Latin American student recruitment and engineering research collaborations.
