Juliana Siwale

Juliana Siwale is a Senior Lecturer in International Business at the Department of Management, Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. She has over a decade of academic experience across the UK and Zambia, teaching international business modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels while supervising research projects.

• Education: PhD in Business and Management, Durham University

Her research focuses on critical themes in microfinance and financial inclusion, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. Key areas include:

• Hybrid organizations and social enterprises
• Informal entrepreneurship financing
• Transnational entrepreneurship
• Entrepreneurship education in Africa

She actively collaborates with international academics and industry partners, addressing global challenges like poverty and youth unemployment. Juliana has published in high-ranking journals and co-edited a book on African Diaspora Direct Investment.
