Dr Andrew Greenman is a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the University of East Anglia's Norwich Business School. He holds a PhD in Management and Business from the University of Nottingham, an MSc in Social Science Research Methods from Nottingham Trent University, and a BA(hons) in History and Sociology from Lancaster University.
His research focuses on the interplay between entrepreneurship and institutional fields, examining contexts such as cultural industries, digital economy, and social enterprises in Sub-Saharan Africa. Current projects include interdisciplinary work on biodiversity credits and private-sector investment, funded by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC).
Teaching includes module leadership for 'Understanding the Business Environment' and 'Strategic Management'. He regularly reviews for journals like Entrepreneurship, Theory and Practice and Journal of Business Ethics.
- Grants: Co-Investigator (NERC) on biodiversity credit tools (2022–2025); PI on NERC Discipline Hopping Grant (2023).
- External Roles: Track Chair for Creative & Cultural Industries at British Academy of Management (2010–2015).
- Collaborations: Engaged with organizations like NERC, HEIF, and UK Research & Innovation.
His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly environmental sustainability and economic growth.
