Julian Kölbel is an Assistant Professor at the University of St. Gallen, affiliated with the School of Finance and its Center for Financial Services Innovation (FSI-HSG). He also holds affiliations as a Research Affiliate at MIT Sloan School of Management and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Zurich's Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth (CSP).

His recent work analyzes ESG fee structures, biodiversity considerations, and climate engagement effectiveness. These studies often bridge environmental science and finance, emphasizing actionable frameworks for assessing physical climate risks and multi-hazard interdependencies in sectors like energy.
