Julia’s 15 most recent publications focus on the gendered and racialized politics of EU border security, environmental justice in conflict and post-conflict contexts, and feminist/postcolonial critiques of security institutions like Frontex. Key themes include epistemic violence, militarized peace, and transnational capital’s gendered impacts.
