Julia Robinson

Julia Robinson is a Senior Lecturer, Chartered Counselling Psychologist, and HCPC-registered practitioner based in Manchester Metropolitan University's Brooks Building. With clinical experience across NHS and educational settings, her research examines socio-political dimensions of psychological therapy, particularly multi-level approaches addressing violence-related distress.

Current PhD research partners with Manchester Women's Aid to develop psychotherapeutic interventions for women experiencing violence. Academic qualifications include BSc Psychology, PGCE, MSc Psychology and Counselling, and BSC Qualification in Counselling Psychology. She serves as External Examiner for University of West England's Professional Doctorate and teaches at University of Manchester's Counselling Psychology program.
