Julia Pennlert is a Lecturer in Library and Information Science at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science, University of Borås. She joined the university in 2017 and previously conducted graduate studies in Comparative Literature at Umeå University. Her doctoral research examined the Swedish web community www.poeter.se from a literary sociological perspective, analyzing how the site functions as a literary meeting place and applying digital humanities methods.

Research Interests: Literature and literary agency in media society, digital storytelling, media use, digital reading, and the application of digital humanities methods in literary research. She has explored how digital tools and sociological frameworks intersect with literary studies.
