Birgitta Wallin is a teacher and researcher at the University of Borås, affiliated with the Academy of Library, Information, Education and IT and the Department of Library and Information Science. Her work focuses on digital books, strategic communication, and digital libraries.
- PhD in Library and Information Science (2019)
- Master's in English (Växjö University) and Master's in BoI (Swedish School of Library and Information Science)
- Journalism studies (University of Gothenburg)
Her research explores the Swedish e-book market, public libraries' roles in the digital media landscape, and information distribution. Key projects include a 2013–2017 Swedish Research Council-funded study on e-books and the 2020 ongoing Svea Bredal Fund project on libraries' digital positioning.
