Julia Houben is a Lecturer and PhD Candidate at Utrecht University's Department of Social, Health and Organizational Psychology, within the School of Social Sciences. Her research focuses on improving social safety in academia, particularly in PhD-supervisor relationships within the Graduate School of Life Sciences (GSLS). She holds an MSc in Social, Work- and Organizational Psychology from Utrecht University and has extensive teaching experience, including full-time roles at VU Amsterdam where she taught courses on social psychology, statistics, and professional communication. She coordinates educational initiatives and holds a BKO qualification in education development.
