Julia H. Binder (M.Sc.) is a doctoral fellow at the Heinrich Böll Foundation and an active researcher in the Institute of Landscape Ecology at the University of Münster. She co-initiated the agroforst-monitoring citizen science research network and contributes to the Social-Ecological Transformation cluster.
- Education: M.Sc. in Landscape Ecology at the University of Münster, Erasmus exchange at NTNU, Trondheim (2018-2019).
Research Interests focus on the ecology of modern agroforestry systems, method development for citizen science, and participatory network research in agricultural transformation. Her work bridges natural sciences, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement to advance sustainable land-use practices.
Publications highlight trends in citizen science applications, agroforestry policy evaluation, and biodiversity conservation through structural diversity in agricultural landscapes. Key subfields include ecosystem monitoring, participatory methods, and environmental governance.
