Associate Professor Julia Erhart is an internationally recognized feminist film scholar at Flinders University's College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, specializing in Screen and Media Studies. She serves as Dean of People and Resources while maintaining an active research profile in feminist and LGBTQ-themed media. Her academic journey spans institutions including University of California Santa Cruz (PhD), New York University (MA), and Brown University (BA), with prior industry experience at New Line Cinema and as a freelance film editor.

Professor Erhart's research focuses on gender equity in the Australian screen industry, feminist film theory, and LGBTQ representation in cinema. She has pioneered data-driven studies on women in virtual production and aging in the screen industries, bridging academic research with industry applications.
