Julia Costich, J.D., Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Health Services Management at the University of Kentucky. She also serves as Associate Director of the Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center, directing the Graduate Certificate in Improving Healthcare Value. Her research focuses on legal and policy issues in public health and healthcare, with a strong emphasis on injury surveillance, healthcare cost navigation, and medical legal partnerships. Dr. Costich holds a J.D. and Ph.D. from the UK College of Law and has over 25 years of experience in public and private sector legal practice before joining the UK faculty in 1998.
