Juhi Kidwai

Juhi Kidwai is an Assistant Professor in the Communication Disorders and Sciences Program at Southern Illinois University. She earned her Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Kansas in 2021 and completed postdoctoral research at New York University before joining SIU in 2023.

Research Interests: Dr. Kidwai investigates neurological mechanisms underlying speech and language production in individuals with stroke-induced aphasia. Her work emphasizes technological approaches for assessment and rehabilitation, including electroencephalography (EEG) to study speech motor control and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) for neural reintegration. She also explores cross-context applications of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and general aphasia rehabilitation strategies.
