Juexin Wang

Juexin Wang is an Assistant Professor at the Department of BioHealth Informatics, Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, Indiana University. His research focuses on developing machine learning approaches for analyzing single-cell and spatial transcriptomics data in kidney diseases, cancer, and neurological disorders. He earned his PhD in computer science and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Missouri.

His lab (Wang Lab) develops computational tools like scGNN (Nature Communications 2021) for single-cell analysis and NRI-MD for protein allosteric studies (Nature Communications 2022). Current projects include deep learning applications in spatial transcriptomics and molecular dynamics simulations. The lab is NIH-funded and collaborates with the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Wang serves as a peer reviewer for over 20 journals, including Nature Communications and Bioinformatics. He teaches courses on machine learning for bioinformatics and programming for biomedical data analysis. His work has led to software tools such as G2S (Bioinformatics 2018), widely used in cancer genomics research.
