Judy Halebsky is a Full Time Professor of English and Director of the MFA in Creative Writing program at Dominican University of California, within the School of Liberal Arts and Education. Her expertise bridges Poetry, Japanese Noh Theater, and Transnational Poetry Translation.

Her research explores the creative process, cultural translation, and eco-poetics, with a focus on Japanese Noh Theater and haiku traditions. Recent work examines post-Fukushima ecological themes in collaboration with Ayako Takahashi. Publications span peer-reviewed journals, poetry collections, and digital/visual media, emphasizing intercultural dialogue and poetic innovation.
