Judy Bornais is a Professor in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Windsor. She holds the role of Associate Vice-President, External, appointed in March 2024 for a four-year term. Previously, she served as Acting Executive Director of the Office of Experiential Learning (2018–2020) and Executive Director thereafter. Her work focuses on enhancing experiential learning opportunities for students, bridging academia with industry, and advancing nursing education. Bornais has been recognized for her teaching excellence, including the 3M National Teaching Fellowship (2018) and multiple OCUFA awards. She has led initiatives such as the Nursing Simulation Lab and collaborated on community partnerships like the ProsperUs program. Her research interests include patient safety, diabetes care, and innovative teaching strategies. Bornais has contributed to regional partnerships, such as a Memorandum of Understanding with Chatham-Kent, aiming to drive educational and research innovation.
