Judith Zolkiewski is a Professor of Marketing at Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. She has extensive experience in both academia and industry, having worked for 15 years at Ferranti Computer Systems Ltd before joining academia in 1999.
Her educational background includes a PhD from UMIST (1999).
Professor Zolkiewski's research focuses on business-to-business marketing with particular emphasis on relationships and networks, both in traditional manufacturing sectors and in business-to-business services/servitization. Her work explores service business-to-business relationships and networks, servitization processes, network strategy, management of relationship portfolios, impact of technology on marketing relationships, the role of customer service in business-to-business relationships, and the darker side of business relationships and networks.
Her recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on digital transformation in B2B contexts, servitization, and the evolving nature of business relationships in a technology-driven world. Her work spans theoretical contributions and practical applications that address contemporary challenges in business marketing, with over 160 research outputs to her name.
Professor Zolkiewski has received numerous awards for her research, including:

She has supervised numerous students and has been involved in impactful research projects including knowledge transfer partnerships with industry. Her projects on refugee services demonstrate her commitment to socially relevant research, with one project winning the ESRC prize for the 'Best Application of Social or Management Science'.
Professor Zolkiewski is an active member of the IMP research community and serves on editorial boards of leading journals in her field. She regularly contributes to academic conferences and has served as a peer reviewer and on grants review panels.
