Her research focuses on early modern household medicine, care-giving practices, and the intersection of healing arts with literature. She explores the role of affective labor in 16th-century healing, analyzing physical and rhetorical healing spaces, and applies these insights to Edmund Spenser's works.
Recent publications examine emotional settings in pedagogical culture, memory in Spenser's poetry, and commercial contexts of Elizabethan literature. She is currently accepting graduate students for Masters and PhD programs.
