Judith Möller

Prof. Dr. Judith Möller is the Scientific Director of the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow Institute (HBI) and holds a joint professorship at the University of Hamburg's Institute for Journalism and Communication Studies. Her research focuses on political communication effects, media's role in public opinion formation, and algorithmic impacts on society. She previously served as Associate Professor at the University of Amsterdam and Adjunct Professor at the University of Trondheim. Key awards include the 2019 VENI Talent Track grant from NWO for her work on AI-driven societal effects.

Her collaborative projects address disinformation, media regulation, and AI ethics. She advises institutions like ERGA, EPRA, and German media authorities, emphasizing practical applications of her research.
