Judith Kafka is a Professor at the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs, Baruch College (CUNY), specializing in urban education and historical analysis of educational policy. Her research examines how social, political, and institutional forces shape American schooling, with a focus on race, inequality, and the carceral state.
