Judith E. Kalb is an Associate Professor of Russian in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of South Carolina's College of Arts and Sciences. Her research bridges Russian culture with the Greco-Roman classical tradition.

Dr. Kalb's scholarship focuses on the intersection of Russian modernism with classical antiquity. She has authored the book Russia's Rome: Imperial Visions, Messianic Dreams, 1890-1930 and is currently working on a project analyzing Russia's reception of Homer.
