Judith (Jude) Dineley is a Research Fellow at King's College London's Department of Biostatistics and Health Informatics within the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience. As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, her work focuses on developing robust protocols for speech analysis in mHealth applications, particularly in mental health diagnostics. She holds a PhD in Doppler ultrasound imaging from the University of Edinburgh and a master's in medical physics from the University of Aberdeen, with clinical experience in radiation oncology and vascular ultrasound.
Her research interests include speech tools for digital health, mobile health technology, and improving the reliability of speech recording protocols. She has contributed to multinational studies like RADAR-CNS, analyzing speech data from depression and MS patients. Jude also serves on international committees such as the International Speech Communication Association's Mentoring Committee and the NIHR Mental Health Research Incubator GROW cohort.
Key publications include methodological frameworks for speech analysis protocols, multilingual depression biomarker studies, and longitudinal mental health monitoring strategies. She has led projects on diurnal variability in speech recordings and wearable-derived sleep feature analysis. Her work integrates signal processing, machine learning, and clinical research to advance translational mental health technologies.
