Jude Fokwang

Jude Fokwang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology, Sociology and Criminology at Regis University, Denver. He has held teaching positions at the University of Cape Town, Rhodes University, Trent University, and the University of Toronto.

• Research Interests: Gender in development, material culture, religion, chieftaincy politics, socioeconomic development, and youth politics in Africa
• Advisory Roles: Serves on the editorial boards of AFRICA: Journal of the International African Institute, Anthropology Southern Africa, and Nordic Journal of African Studies

His publications span ethnographic research, critical theory, and sociopolitical analysis. He directed the award-winning documentary Something New in Old Town (2016) and has contributed extensively to understanding youth agency, cultural identity, and governance in postcolonial Cameroon.
