Joyce Yukawa serves as Program Director and Associate Professor in the Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) program at St. Catherine University. Her teaching spans reference services, information literacy instruction, research methods, human information behavior, and web usability/accessibility.
Her research explores the integration of face-to-face and online interactions in library contexts, with focus areas including social learning methodologies, service-learning frameworks, and community-of-practice development within library and information science professions.
Yukawa brings practical experience from academic, public, and special libraries in the U.S. and Asia to her pedagogical approach. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Information Sciences from the University of Hawai'i.
