Kicya7 Joyce Schneider is an Assistant Professor in Indigenous Studies at Simon Fraser University (SFU), based on xʷməθkwəy̓əm, Skwxwú7mesh, Stó:lō, and Səl̓ílwətaʔɬ territories. She holds Ucwalmicw heritage and focuses on Indigenist pedagogy and reconciliation in education.
