Joyce Brienza is a Detroit-based artist and Lecturer at the University of Michigan and Detroit’s College for Creative Studies. Her work explores feminist and community-driven art practices through performance and collaborative installations.

She has exhibited nationally and internationally and received Artist in Residence awards at Rutgers University and Detroit Children’s Hospital. Her collaborations with young patients at the hospital have resulted in permanent public installations.
