Dr. Joy Samad is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS), where he has taught since 2013. He is currently on leave. His academic credentials include a B.A. from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. from Boston College.
Samad's research explores political philosophy, leadership, and historical analysis. His work critically engages with thinkers like Machiavelli, Locke, and Aristotle, and examines modern geopolitical events such as the Iraq War.
