Prof. Dr. Jowita Kramer is a leading scholar in Indology at the Institute for Indology and Central Asian Studies, University of Leipzig. She has held academic positions at prestigious institutions including the Universities of Heidelberg, Munich, Oxford, UC Berkeley, and the École Pratique des Hautes Études, Paris.
- Research Focus: Indian and Indo-Tibetan Buddhism, Yogācāra psychological concepts, intertextuality in Buddhist literature, and critical editions of Buddhist texts like the Pañcaskandhakavibhāṣā.
- Projects: Director of the Korea-Germany Research Network for Indian and Tibetan Classics (DFG-funded, 2024) and contributor to digital critical editions of the Nyāyabhāṣya.
