Jovanović Rodoljub

Jovanović Rodoljub is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory (IFDT) at the University of Belgrade. He specializes in human rights, history education, and peace education, with a particular focus on post-conflict societies and the Yugoslav wars of the 1990s.

Research Interests:

Rodoljub's research spans multiple interconnected fields including human rights education, peace education in post-conflict societies, and the role of historical narratives in shaping collective memory. His work particularly examines how educational systems address traumatic historical events, with special attention to the Yugoslav wars of the 1990s. He investigates nationalism, intercultural education, and the transmission of historical memory across generations.

His scholarly approach combines empirical research with policy analysis, producing both academic publications and practical policy recommendations for educational reform in post-conflict settings.

Teaching and Academic Service:

Rodoljub has taught various subjects at the University of Amsterdam and the Belgrade Centre of School for International Training (SIT). He actively engages in initiatives to improve teaching about the 1990s wars in the ex-Yugoslav space and has authored policy papers and teaching materials on this topic.
