Jovan Dobrosavljević is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Forestry, University of Belgrade, specializing in Forest Entomology and Forest Protection. He completed his PhD in 2022, focusing on forest protection and ornamental plants. His research interests include insect-plant interactions, urban vs. rural habitat effects on insects, and biopesticide development. He has published extensively on leaf miner communities, climate impacts on forest ecosystems, and pest management strategies.
He teaches courses such as Forest Entomology, Forest Zoology, and English-language Forest Protection modules. His work integrates ecological studies with applied forestry practices, addressing challenges like invasive species and climate change effects on forest health.
Key collaborations include projects on European oak herbivory patterns and biopolymer-based pesticide development. His contributions span over 39 publications, with a focus on SCI-indexed journals. He is a member of the Entomological Society of Serbia and has trained in insect morphometry and molecular identification techniques.
