Sterja Naceski is a full professor at the Faculty of Forestry, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, where he has taught subjects including Forest Entomology, Pests of Ornamental Plants, and Insect Ecology since his appointment as a full-time faculty member. He earned his doctorate in 1998 with a thesis on parasites and hyperparasites of oak leaf beetles in Macedonia, following a master's degree in 1992 on similar topics. His career at the university began in 1986 as a junior assistant, progressing through roles such as vice-dean (2004–2008) and current head of the IDP service in forestry since 2007.
Research interests focus on forest pests, insect-plant interactions, and ecological regulation mechanisms. He has contributed to academic programs across both first- and second-cycle studies, emphasizing tree protection, phytopharmacy, and entomology. Notably, he has held leadership roles in academic administration and pest control services within Macedonian forestry.
