Jouha Min, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan, with an affiliation to the Biomedical Engineering (BME) program. His research focuses on developing nano/biomaterials-based platforms to address physiological disorders like cancer and infectious diseases. Key areas include molecular engineering of nanoagents for targeted therapy, nanofabrication of implantable biomaterials, and biosensing technologies for clinical diagnosis.
Min leads the Min Research Lab, which integrates chemical engineering, biochemistry, and clinical science to create innovative solutions. Recent work highlights include designer MXene multilayer coatings for osteogenesis and infection control, high-throughput sepsis diagnostic platforms, and deep learning-driven breast cancer cell phenotyping using holography. His lab also develops portable diagnostic tools like CytoPAN for rapid cancer detection.
Research outputs emphasize translational applications, with a focus on biomaterials, plasmonic biosensors, and responsive polymer systems. Collaborations bridge engineering and clinical fields to accelerate clinical translation of technologies.
