Josée Pedneault is a Part-time Teacher in Photography and Studio Arts at Concordia University. She holds an MFA in Studio Art from Concordia and maintains an active international artistic career, with exhibitions in Berlin, Toronto, Mexico City, and Montréal. Her commissioned public artworks include permanent installations in Quebec, such as Kinésie (2020) and Le Messager.
Her research integrates astronomy, cosmology, ecology, geography, and natural science into photo-based installations. These works combine photography with objects, drawings, paintings, and archival materials to explore human relationships with nature through poetic, multi-layered narratives that challenge scientific rationality.
Pedneault teaches diverse photography courses, including:
- Analog black-and-white and color photography (PHOTO200, PHOTO201, PHOTO210, PHOTO211)
- Digital photography (PHOTO331)
