José Carlos Dias Rouco

José Carlos Dias Rouco is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management at the School of Economic Sciences and Organizations, Lusófona University. He currently serves as Director of the Department of Civil Aviation and Airports Management and Director of the Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Management. His academic background includes a PhD in Human Resource Management from Lusíada University (2012), a Master’s in Sports Training Management from the Faculty of Human Motricity (University of Lisbon), and a 5-year degree in Military Sciences from the Portuguese Military Academy.

Research interests span leadership development, aviation management, stress biomarker detection, and military education. Notable projects include the FCT-funded Stressense (2018–2022), which received a scientific award for its work on non-invasive stress biomarker detection. He actively reviews for international journals and has led six Army-sponsored research projects.
