Jose Carlos Dias Rouco

Jose Carlos Dias Rouco is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management at Lusofona University’s School of Economic and Organizational Sciences. He serves as Director of the Department of Civil Aviation and Airports Management and the Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Management. His academic background includes a PhD from Lusíada University (2012), a Master’s in Sports Training Management from the Technical University of Lisbon, and a 5-year degree in Military Sciences from the Portuguese Military Academy.

His research focuses on leadership in military and organizational contexts, crisis management, and strategic planning. Recent projects include the NATO-funded Stressense initiative, recognized with a scientific award from FCT. He has published extensively in journals like the Iberian Journal of Information Systems and Technologies and presented at conferences such as the British Academy of Management.

Rouco teaches courses on leadership, ethics, strategic marketing, and human resource management. He coordinates leadership development programs for entrepreneurs, firefighters, and military personnel. His work integrates theoretical frameworks with practical applications in defense, aviation, and crisis response.
