Joshua Wold Rohde

Dr. Joshua Wold Rohde is an Associate Professor in the Humanities & Arts school at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, serving as Director of Choral Activities. He conducts four university choral ensembles and directs the Rhode Island Civic Chorale & Orchestra and Quincy Choral Society, while maintaining a professional career as a cellist in the Boston area.

Dr. Rohde has prepared choruses for renowned conductors and performed cello concertos with major orchestras, including Elgar, Haydn, and Shostakovich. He was founding manager of Harvard University's New Music Initiative and maintains active performance collaborations in Boston.
