Joshua Muldavin is a Professor of Geography at Sarah Lawrence College, specializing in the political ecology of international development, with a focus on China, Japan, and Asia. He has conducted over 40 years of field research in rural China, Japan, Nepal, India, and Latin America, analyzing global resource conflicts, climate change policy, and international aid.
