Joshua Kennedy

Joshua Kennedy, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Allergy and Immunology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and Arkansas Children's Hospital. He is also a researcher at the Arkansas Children's Hospital Research Institute (ACRI), specializing in the interplay between rhinovirus infections and allergic diseases in pediatric asthma exacerbations.

• Education: MD (2006) from UAMS, Combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at UAMS/Arkansas Children's Hospital (2006-2010), Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at University of Virginia.
• Clinical Expertise: Asthma, food allergy, atopic dermatitis, primary immunodeficiency.
• Research Focus: Mucosal immune responses to rhinovirus, epithelial cell-derived cytokines (IL-33, IL-25, TSLP), and their role in Th2/allergic disease synergy.

He contributes to education as part of UAMS' Department of Pediatrics and works in the ACRI Lung Cell Biology Lab.
