Josh Redstone is a Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at Carleton University, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. He holds a BA in Philosophy (Nipissing University), an MA in Philosophy (Carleton University), and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science (Carleton University).
His research focuses on philosophical and empirical questions at the intersection of philosophy of mind, cognitive science, robotics, and artificial intelligence. Specific interests include consciousness, emotions, and the epistemological dimensions of belief in pseudoscience.
