Josh Pound serves as Assistant Athletic Director and Sports Information Director (SID) for Benedictine College Athletics since 2003, managing media relations for 17 sports teams. He concurrently holds an adjunct faculty position in the Mass Communications Department, teaching Strategic Sports Communication, Sports Broadcasting, and Basic Layout & Design since 2010.
His academic credentials include:
- BS in Journalism from Benedictine College
- Master’s in Athletic Administration (emphasis: Intercollegiate Athletics), completed May 2018
Professional expertise centers on sports media strategy, broadcast production, and visual design, informed by his prior career as sports editor of the Atchison Globe. He actively contributes to industry organizations including the College Sports Information Directors of America and NAIA-SIDA Branding Committee, where he curates association-wide social media content and conducts member interviews.
Pound received multiple journalism awards for sports writing, feature reporting, photography, and layout design during his newspaper tenure. His operational leadership extends to campus event coordination, with his family regularly attending Benedictine athletic events as dedicated supporters.
