Connor Bean serves as an Assistant Professor of Sports Management at Shorter University's College of Business. He is based in office ST-03 and can be reached at cbean@shorter.edu or 706-292-3907.
Dr. Bean's educational background includes:
- Bachelor's Degree in Sports Studies from Reinhardt University (2020)
- Master's Degree in Sports Administration from Boston College (2021)
Professor Bean's research and professional interests focus on Sports Management and Athletic Administration. With extensive experience in college athletics operations across multiple institutions, his expertise spans sports program administration, game operations management, and facility coordination. His background as both a scholar-athlete and administrator provides a unique perspective on the intersection of academics and athletics.
During his undergraduate studies at Reinhardt University, Professor Bean was an accomplished athlete, earning recognition as a 2x NAIA Men's Lacrosse National Champion, AAC Lacrosse First Team All-Conference, AAC Lacrosse All-Academic Team member, and NAIA Scholar-Athlete in Men's Lacrosse.
Professor Bean previously served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Game Operations at McNeese State University, where he managed all 13 varsity events and oversaw operations across 8+ fields/arenas. He has also worked at UNC Charlotte, Boston College, America East Conference, and Reinhardt University, gaining diverse experience across different collegiate athletic programs.
