Joseph Otoo

Joseph Otoo is a Visiting Fellow at The Dickson Poon School of Law and serves as senior legal counsel and associate director at Arup, providing legal, commercial, and strategic support for global construction, engineering, energy, and infrastructure projects. He concurrently acts as UKIMEA region Digital Legal Lead and member of Arup's Digital Executive, driving legal innovation in digital transformation initiatives.

Holding an MSc from the Centre for Construction Law where he received the Society of Construction Law prize for his dissertation on arbitration against states, his expertise spans energy infrastructure, international dispute resolution, and digital legal frameworks. His research integrates traditional construction law with emerging domains including data governance, IP commercialization, and post-conflict redevelopment strategies.

As an active academic contributor, he supervises MSc dissertations and teaches Arbitration, Adjudication, Negligence, and Tort law while participating in events like the International Construction Arbitration Conference.
