Joseph Martin is a Professor of Practice at the Truman School of Government & Public Affairs, University of Missouri. He concurrently serves as General Counsel for the Missouri Division of Credit Unions. Over 30 years, he held senior roles in Missouri state government, including Deputy Commissioner of Higher Education, Chief of Staff for the Missouri State Auditor, and Chief of Staff for the Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman.
Education: Juris Doctor and Master of Public Administration from the University of Missouri, plus completion of the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at Harvard Kennedy School. He actively contributes to the Truman School via membership on the MPA Committee and Alumni Advisory Board.
Research interests include Public Administration, Public and Non-Profit Management, Public Policy, and State/Local Governance. Recognized with the 2020 Truman School Teaching Excellence Award.曾 served on the IRS Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (2017-2020) and remains a U.S. Air Force veteran.
