Joseph Mandeville serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and Research Staff at Massachusetts General Hospital, affiliated with the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Building 149, Room 2301, 13th Street, Charlestown, MA 02129, USA.
He earned his PhD in Nuclear Physics from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in 1993. His research program centers on three interconnected domains: (1) development of fMRI and PET imaging and analysis methodologies; (2) applications addressing functional physiology questions in the brain; and (3) functional pharmacology investigations using these imaging techniques. This work establishes critical bridges between advanced neuroimaging technologies and physiological/pharmacological neuroscience.
As a core Martinos Center faculty member, Dr. Mandeville leads initiatives in neuroimaging software development and distribution through NITRC (Neuroimaging Informatics Tools and Resources Clearinghouse), with documented technical resources and biosketch materials publicly available for research collaboration.
