Joseph M. Giammarco is a Professor in the Astronomy and Physics Department at Eastern University's College of Health and Sciences, where he has held a faculty position since 2007. His research focuses on computational physics, binary stars, optical tomography, and inverse problems applied to physical sciences.
Dr. Giammarco earned his Ph.D. in Particle Physics Theory from Temple University. He actively contributes to peer-reviewed publications and collaborates on projects including the PHOEBE (Physics Of Eclipsing Binaries) project and the Yodh Laboratory for Bio-Medical Optics, utilizing The Bradstreet Observatory for astronomical research.
His work bridges computational methodologies with astrophysical and biomedical applications, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to solving complex inverse problems in optical imaging and binary star systems.
