Gregory Feiden

Gregory Feiden is Associate Professor of Astronomy and Director of the North Georgia Astronomical Observatory at the University of North Georgia. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics and Astronomy from Dartmouth College. His research specializes in stellar structure and evolution modeling, with particular focus on magnetic field effects in low-mass stars.

Research areas include:

• Magnetic suppression of convection in stellar cores
• Age determination of young stellar populations
• Fundamental parameters of M-dwarf stars
• Eclipsing binary systems as stellar benchmarks

His publications frequently bridge theoretical modeling with observational astronomy, utilizing data from space telescopes and ground-based observatories to constrain stellar evolution models.
